STRUCTURE: Leeds Children’s Hospital – part of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust – has been named one of four national centres for children with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia in a collaboration with Bradford Hospitals Foundation Trust.

The July chief executive’s report to the Leeds trust’s board says: “Leeds Children’s Hospital has been designated by the National Specialised Commissioning Team to be one of four centres to provide a service for children with Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia.

“This is a rare respiratory condition which affects about 300 children in this country. We have been designated (along with Bradford) as the centre to provide a service for the north of England.”
