STRUCTURE: GP practices in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland have voted to establish three consortia in shadow form.

One consortia will be in Leicester City and two will be based across Leicestershire County and Rutland.

Leadership and shadow governance arrangements will now need to be worked through and the board of NHS Leicester City will receive in due course the detail of the establishment arrangements.

The chief executives of Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council are in favour of a single consortia relationship with each of the local authorities.
