PERFORMANCE: Leicestershire County and Rutland Primary Care Trust is England’s top performing PCT for breast screening, the county’s PCT cluster has found.
The Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland cluster’s integrated corporate report for April says: “Latest figures show that NHS Leicestershire County and Rutland is the top performing PCT nationally for breast screening.”
Uptake among 53-70 year-olds was 84.7 per cent in 2009-10, compared to the average for England of 76.9 per cent and the East Midlands regional figure of 81.7 per cent.
