PERFORMANCE: The partnership trust this month recorded one breach of the Department of Health’s guidelines on mixed sex accommodation, the only mental health trust to do so.
Latest data for July – based on returns from all 167 acute trusts in England – demonstrates a deterioration since June when the trust recorded no breaches. In May it recorded two breaches but returned no data for April.
With the exception of Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, the mental health trust was the only non acute trust to breach the guidelines in July.
By region, the majority of mixed sex breaches, 346, were in NHS London followed by the NHS South East Coast with 271.
The worst acute sector offenders were Barts and the London NHS Trust and Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
