WORKFORCE: A review of safeguarding training across all staff at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Foundation Trust is needed to ensure the workforce is protecting patients from abuse, a report has found.

The recommendation comes in an annual report on safeguarding issues at the trust, co-authored by its named nurses for vulnerable adults, Lisa Salter, and children, Carolyn Cowperthwaite.

The report to the trust board said: “Training across all areas of safeguarding requires review and development to ensure staff at all levels and job roles are aware of their individual responsibility in relation to safeguarding children and adults at risk of abuse.”
