Monitor has taken regulatory action against Cumbria Partnership Foundation Trust
To improve governance Monitor has agreed “enforcement undertakings” with the trust – binding actions to which Cumbria Partnership commits itself to.
Monitor opened an investigation into the trust in October 2013 following a review which highlighted inadequate responses by the trust to quality issues.
Under the enforcement undertakings the trust will implement the findings of an independent review into how it is run. A follow-up review will then be held to ensure required changes have been made.
Cumbria Partnership is a community and mental health services provider which serves a population of almost half a million across Cumbria.
