WORKFORCE: A former NHS employee from west London has been arrested by police investigating claims that journalists bribed police officers and public officials.
The 31-year-old man was arrested at his home in Uxbridge, Scotland Yard said.
He was held on suspicion of conspiracy to cause misconduct in a public office and suspicion of corruption.
The man was the 36th person to be held as part of Operation Elveden, Scotland Yard’s investigation into allegations of inappropriate payments to police, which is being supervised by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
The operation is being run in conjunction with the phone hacking inquiry, Operation Weeting.
