Manchester scientists in tumour gene breakthrough

RESEARCH: Scientists from Manchester Biomedical Research Centre at St Mary’s Hospital and the University of Manchester have identified a new gene responsible for causing a common tumour affecting the brain and spine. Although these spinal meningiomas can be removed by surgery, they can reoccur and sometime run in families.
