FINANCE: Medway NHS Foundation Trust’s overspend on its contracts with commissioners has increased but remains below £1m, according to latest board papers.

“The position at Medway Foundation Trust has deteriorated by £0.249m in January leading to a cumulative overspend of £0.7m,” a finance report from the NHS Kent and Medway primary care trust cluster stated.

“This over performance reflects an unplanned increase in non-elective long stay activity and reduced efficiency saving,” it said.
