PERFORMANCE: Medway NHS Foundation Trust was named one of the 40 top hospitals in the country at the annual CHKS 40 Top Hospitals Awards.
It is the fourth year in a row that the trust has been in the top 40.
This year’s winners were announced at an awards ceremony in London earlier this month.
CHKS assess hospitals on their performance in 23 key areas ranging from clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.
The award was accepted by director of nursing Jacqueline McKenna said: “It’s fantastic to be named among the top hospitals in the country for the fourth year running and it’s a tribute to the hard work of everyone at the trust.”
CHKS managing director Jason Harries said: “We are delighted that Medway NHS Foundation Trust is one of our 40 Top Hospitals for 2012.
“These awards recognise outstanding performance in 23 areas which we believe are critical to delivering good patient care.”
