PERFORMANCE: The foundation trust this month recorded six breaches of the Department of Health’s guidelines on mixed sex accommodation.

Latest data for July – based on returns from all 167 acute trusts in England – showthe trust breached the guidelines on six occasions, compared with none in July.

The latest results continue to show up and down performance. The trust recorded no breaches in May, before reporting 12 in June. It returned no data for April.

Its breach rate – the number of breaches per 1,000 finished consultant episodes – was 0.9 for August.

By region, the majority of breaches, 346, were in NHS London followed by the NHS South East Coast with 271.

The worst offenders in the region were Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
