FINANCE: The Kent primary care trust achieved a surplus of nearly £4.3m last year, but just missed its planned surplus, according to board papers.
Board reports for May said the PCT spent 443,882,000 of its 448,164,000 budget for 2010-11.
The finance report states: “The PCT was planning a surplus of £4.315m for the year and actually achieved a surplus of £4.282m after applying all of its £12m contingency.”
It noted that these results were subject to audit.
The PCT also met “in full for the year” all of its financial targets – for revenue resource limit, capital resource limit and cash limit – agreed with NHS South East Coast, the report adds.
