The South East Coast, East of England, South Central and London regions are set to jointly launch a consultation on how to improve services for people with severe personality disorder.
Set to run between 20 April and 27 July, the consultation will be run by the South East Coast specialised commissioning group on behalf of 62 primary care trusts in the four regions.
At present, two London based facilities (one of which is temporarily closed) provide such specialist tier four services for all four regions.
Commissioning group director Stephanie Newman said: “We are not just consulting about one service or hospital - we want to know about the whole model of care to make sure we provide choice and support people with complex needs and their families, friends and carers.”
Members of the public, service users and staff who want to contribute to the consultation will be able to do so at www.westkentpct.nhs.uk
