WORKFORCE: Mid Staffordshire Foundation Trust has launched an awards scheme to recognise best practice by staff at both Stafford and Cannock Hospitals.

Members of the public and fellow workers at the trust can nominate individuals or teams who they think have gone above and beyond their day to day job and offered outstanding service.

An awards ceremony, supported by the Stafford & Cannock League of Hospital Friends and local sponsors, will be held on 28 September.

The criteria for awards are improving patient care and experience; improving patient and staff safety; listening and acting on patient and staff views; supporting and valuing staff and improving the way we work.

Chief executive Lyn Hill-Tout said: “We know there is a lot of very good practice in our trust, both on the front line and behind the scenes, and we want to give people the opportunity to recognise it.

“We are encouraging the local community to take the time to make a nomination and help highlight the positive aspects of services at Mid Staffs.”
