WORKFORCE: Mid Staffordshire Foundation Trust has issued an appeal for registered nurses to join its staff.
Following two recruitment days in October and November, 21 nurses have been employed by the West Midlands trust.
It wants more nurses for roles in planned care, acute care and emergency care departments.
Colin Ovington, director of nursing at the trust, said: “We are delighted by the response so far, which shows us people are happy to come and work for the trust.
“These posts have been developed to support the trust through the winter months when further beds will be opened to support the needs of our patients. They will also cover current and potential future vacancies.”
He added: “The new nurses will be joining a team with demonstrable commitment to delivering the best care. We are consistently delivering the goals set by our board and our commissioners on safe care, nutrition and patient experience.”
