PERFORMANCE: Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust was the only trust in the region missing the A&E waiting target in the year-to-date, NHS Yorkshire and the Humber has reported.
April papers to the strategic health authority board say A&E performance across the region was improving after the winter, “across all NHS trusts except Mid Yorkshire which saw a slight dip in performance”.
It says a factor may be a reconfiguration including opening two new emergency departments. Yorkshire and Humber has a current year to date position of 96.8 per cent (against the target of 95 per cent), which is slightly below the national average (97.1 per cent) ranking 6th out of the 10 SHAs against the A&E standard.
Mid Yorkshire’s aggregate year to date performance was 94.8 per cent. Support continues to be provided to Mid Yorkshire.
