Moorfields Eye Hospital Foundation Trust is predicting a significant spike in private income in 2016-17, its board papers reveal.

The London specialist trust anticipates private income of £27m in 2016-17, up from £20m in 2015-16.

The trust’s finance report expects this to account for £3m of the organisation’s £4.2m predicted year-end surplus.

It is predicting an overall turnover of £213m in 2016-17.
