FINANCE: Hardwick Clinical Commissioning Group has reported a surplus of £1.75m for the third quarter or 2014-15, board papers show.

This is £11,000 higher than the planned surplus for the year to date.

However there was overspending related to prescribing of £651,000 in the year to date, and funded nursing care has a forecast overspend of £263,000 by the end of the year.

Chief finance officer Miles Scott said the CCG still forecasts a year-end position of a £1.59m surplus, “but this is getting increasingly difficult to achieve”.
