PERFORMANCE: Whipps Cross Hospital in east London breached mixed sex accommodation guidelines 14 times in just one month as it grappled with high numbers of emergency admissions and bed shortages, according to commissioners.

The breaches, reported in Redbridge Clinical Commissioning Group papers, occurred in December at the hopsital, which is run by Barts Health Trust.

The papers for Redbridge’s 30 January governing body meeting also describe how the CCG is proposing to adopt delegated arrangements for co-commissioning or primary care.
