COMMERCIAL: South Sefton CCG will shortly re-tender its patient transport services because its current contract with North West Ambulance Service is coming to an end. The contract was awarded as a three-year deal but this is being re-tendered this year for a new service, to begin on 1 April next year.
The issue was discussed at a 29 January meeting of the CCG’s governing body.
South Sefton is also involved along with 32 other CCGs across the North West in re-tendering an NHS 111 contract. The new contract should be operational by next winter.
