STRUCTURE: Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals FT is holding elections to appoint 17 governors to its board.

Nominations will open on 7 March for people wanting to stand for election as a governor at the foundation trust.

It is seeking 13 public governors across Norfolk and Waveney, as most of the trust’s public governors are due to complete their three-year term. The Trust is also holding elections for four staff governors.

Trust chair David Prior said: “Our governors have an important role both to represent the views of the local community when decisions are made about the future of our hospitals and to be assured that the trust is operating efficiently and providing excellent care.”

The public governors will be elected by the trust’s 17,000 public members who live across Norfolk and Waveney and the staff governors will be elected by the trust’s 6,000 staff members. The election is being run by Electoral Reform Services on behalf of the trust.
