WORKFORCE: Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust has announced that Sheila Adams-O’Shea is leaving to take forward a “key strategic piece of work” on behalf of NHS East of England.

Ms O’Shea has led the organisation through its separation from NHS Norfolk and into becoming a community-based health trust.

The trust said in a statement that she had taken the “opportunity to move into a wider strategic role” as programme director for quality across the East of England, working with the strategic health authority’s chief nurse Ruth May.

Ms O’Shea said: “I believe that NCH&C is in a really good position to achieve its aspirations of becoming a Community Foundation Trust. For me personally, the time is right to move on to other opportunities, knowing NCH&C has a really great future ahead.”

Paul Cracknell, interim human resources director of Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust, will perform the role of interim chief executive, while transition arrangements are confirmed.
