PERFORMANCE: Care Quality Commission inspectors found North Bristol Trust was not meeting standards on record keeping during a routine visit earlier this year.
Inspectors found the three wards at Southmead Hospital they visited were meeting all other standards inspected against. However, patient bedside records contained little information and in one case there were no records at all.
The trust is working towards a paperless records system but problems with the implementation of Cerner’s Millenium patient record system had delayed this. The trust has reviewed its systems following the CQC visit.
