FINANCE: North East London Foundation Trust are planning on making cost improvement programme savings of £52m over this and the next two financial years.

The trust has set itself a savings target of £15.7m this year and £18.3m in 2013-14 and 2014-15.

In its annual plan review submitted to Monitor the mental and community health services trust said the main drivers for the savings were: “Income deflation/decommissioning between 4 per cent and 5 per cent for community and mental health services, generic costs including 1 per cent pay award, non-pay inflation and other cost pressures [and] exceptional items of impairment improvement and community health services asset transfers.”
