PERFORMANCE: The primary care trust received 151 complaints in 2010-11 of which five complainants then referred their cases to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman.

According to the commissioner’s “four Cs” report (comments, compliments, concerns and complaints) for the past financial year, one of the cases referred to the Ombudsman required no further action; four are still being considered. The overall figure of 151 complaints represents a fall in the annual total for the first time in five years.
