PERFORMANCE: The results of a monthly patient satisfaction survey has put Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals Foundation Trust in last place out of 46 hospital trusts.

The “friends and family” test is a “net promoter” score trialled in NHS MIdlands and East and is due to start in the rest of the country next April.

Patients are asked: “How likely is it that you would recommend this service to friends and family?” with scores determined by the number of patients unlikely to recommend a trust subtracted from the number of patients who would recommend it, to calculate a score ranging from -100 to 100.

Peterborough’s score has fallen from 67 in April to 48 in July, information from the cluster reveals, putting at the lowest position of the 46 trusts.
