FINANCE: A £70,000 imaging system has been installed in operating theatres at Scunthorpe Hospital to allow surgeons to X-ray breast tissue during operations.
The faxitron machine, purchased through Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Foundation Trust’s charitable funds, enables surgeons to test skin cell specimens during a procedure to ensure that all of the cancerous cells have been removed.
