- Amanda Sullivan will lead six Nottinghamshire CCGs with immediate effect
Six Nottinghamshire clinical commissioning groups have appointed a single accountable officer, it has been announced.
Amanda Sullivan has been appointed to the role on an interim basis with immediate effect. She will lead the CCGs within the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire integrated care system’s footprint – Nottingham City CCG, Nottingham West CCG, Rushcliffe CCG, Nottingham North and East CCG, Mansfield and Ashfield CCG, and Newark and Sherwood CCG – until March 2020.
The CCGs’ clinical leads and chairs welcomed the appointment of a joint accountable officer as an “important milestone on our journey to delivering a single strategic commissioner” and as “a critical enabler” for integrated healthcare.
Ms Sullivan is already the accountable officer for Mansfield and Ashfield CCG and Newark and Sherwood CCG.
Wendy Saviour, managing director of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS, said: “I’m delighted that we are able to appoint a leader with Ms Sullivan’s calibre to this critical post.”
Thilan Bartholomeuz, clinical chair for Newark and Sherwood CCG, said: “I am very much looking forward to her bringing her clinical and management expertise to the leadership of commissioning across the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire footprint as we move forward with our plans for high quality integrated care.”
