FINANCE: A Milton Keynes CCG finance board paper warned of an over performance on the organisation’s acute service contracts of £10m in 2012-13.
The CCG’s contract with Milton Keynes Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was £7.2m over budget. Other acute NHS trust contracts were over-performing by £1, and there was a £1.2m of over performance with Blakelands, Horton, In Health and BMI Saxon private providers “where annual budgets were set lower than 2011/12 out turn in anticipation of activity being better controlled.”
Finally it says that the position with its South Central Ambulance Trust contract “reflects a £0.5m overspending which is mainly due to the delays the ambulance service in relaying patients to the Foundation Trust.”
