PERFORMANCE: A report by the Oxfordshire Learning Disability NHS Trust has described a key information governance target as “unrealistic”.
A performance report by the trust - known as the Ridgeway Partnership - said in May that a target for 95 per cent of all staff to receive information governance training was “unrealistic given the amount of face to face training required for staff without access to the online training module”.
To meet the target, set by the Department of Health and South Central strategic health authority, the trust will have to train 1,1105 members of staff by 30 June.
However, it only forecasts training 719, and is currently falling behind even that projection. In April, 111 staff were trained, against a forecast 124 and a required 200.
At the end of April 2011, 45 per cent of all trust staff had completed information governance training.
