STRUCTURE: The trust underwent the first of several board to board “challenges” with its strategic health authority on the road to achieving foundation trust status.

The Oxfordshire Learning Disability Trust hopes to achieve FT status by the end of the calendar year.

In her report to the trust board on 24 February, chair Julia Clark said: “The board met with board members and senior people from the South Central SHA and performed well, answering questions fluently and with confidence, and demonstrated excellent teamwork supporting each other in adding detail, clarification and emphasis to others’ answers where needed.”

Although Oxfordshire Learning Disability NHS Trust is the organisation’s legal name, it has adopted the name Ridgeway Partnership during the process of becoming an FT and it will become the legal name when the trust achieves FT status.
