WORKFORCE: Oxleas Foundation Trust has appointed a new chair with a background in policing.

The mental health trust has appointed Andy Trotter to take over from previous chair Dave Mellish when he retires at the end of October.

Mr Trotter will join the organisation in September.

He has over 40 years policing experience. His most recent role was as chief constable of the British Transport Police and he has also worked with both the Metropolitan and Kent Police services.

Mr Trotter said: “I am very pleased to be joining Oxleas and am looking forward to working with a great team”.
