North Bristol Trust has appointed a former senior partner at the Bristol office of consultancy KPMG as its new chairman.
Peter Rilett, 59, takes up the post in November. He has sat on the trust’s board for five years, and served as both deputy chairman and interim chairman.
Mr Rilett said: “I feel privileged to take on the position of chairman at NBT. The trust has a critical role to play in the health economy of Bristol, especially as we move toward the creation of the new super-hospital at Southmead.”
North Bristol Trust chief executive Sonia Mills said: “The board is delighted to have someone of Peter’s standing and credibility in Bristol appointed as its chairman.
“He knows the issues confronting the trust well and will provide strong board leadership to take the trust forward.”
