PERFORMANCE: Portsmouth Hospital Trust’s reported patient satisfaction score has risen, and the organisation is also maintaining good performance on healthcare acquired infections.

The Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Portsmouth primary care trust cluster said the most recent figures on patient satisfaction, for August, was 84.6 per cent, higher than the previous two months.

The trust was also described as being within acceptable levels to achieve the year end target for MRSA and C Difficile.

SHIP cluster board papers said: “The trust continues to experience challenges with recruitment of nursing staff including areas such as medicine for older people and has had a successful recruitment campaign within Europe.”
