PERFORMANCE: There has been a rise in the level of complains about Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, despite a high level of patient satisfaction and improving performance in most areas.
According to its November quality performance report the trust, which has a target to cut complaints by 50 per cent, received 150 in quarter two, up from 136 in quarter one 2011-12.
Patient satisfaction has been above 80 per cent all year, outstripping a 75 per cent target, and the trust received green ratings on a range of patient safety measures including falls and never events.
However C difficile infection rates were identified as areas for concern, along with mixed sex accommodation breaches, and venous thromboembolous screening.
