STRUCTURE: The East of England Ambulance Service could have to withdraw its application to become a foundation trust if it fails to meet a key performance target for this quarter.

If it fails the category A19 target - which requires 95 per cent of eligible call outs to be reached within 19 minutes - it will make the third successive quarter of failure and its application will be red rated and withdrawn.

The trust has failed the target every month since July but has an improvement programme in place and could put some short additional resources into meeting the target.
