FINANCE East of England Ambulance Service Trust is investing nearly £17m on its vehicle fleet, the trust has announced.
The trust has earmarked approximately £14m for new emergency ambulances and £2.3m for response cars.
A statement said: “The new fleet of ambulances and rapid response cars are to be rolled out across the region as part of a new vehicle replacement programme.
“The trust’s board agreed to a rolling replacement programme of 145 A&E ambulances and 110 rapid response cars between now and the end of June in 2014.”
