FINANCE: Yorkshire Ambulance Service Trust faces losing a quarter of a million pounds in the 2012-13 financial year for not meeting key targets on its patient transport service.

The March board meeting heard that nearly £200,000 of these contract penalties were in one of its four areas – South Yorkshire.

The penalties relate to under-performance and failing to meet key performance indicators.

It also risks not meeting all its requirements for CQUIN payments in both A&E and PTS, which could cost it £700,000.
