WORKFORCE: Adrian Bull, chief executive of Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, has announced he will be leaving the trust in April.

Dr Bull has accepted a new position as managing director of Imperial College Health Partners, the academic health science centre in north west London.

He has been chief executive of Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since 2008.

In a message to staff, Dr Bull said: “I am immensely proud to have been chief executive of QVH. It is a privilege to serve the people of East Grinstead and further afield who need the hospital’s specialist care.

“I am confident that I leave QVH in a strong position.  We continue to be regarded by patients and staff alike, as well as by our regulators, as one of the best hospitals in the country for patient care.”

QVH chair Peter Griffiths said: “We will start the process of appointing his successor early in the new year.”
