PERFORMANCE: Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was picked out by the Care Quality Commission as performing above average in the inpatient survey for explaining how successful a procedure has been.
The results of the 2012 national inpatient survey were published by the CQC earlier this month.
Queen Victoria Hospital was among eight trusts identified by the CQC as performing “significantly better than average” for question 48 – after the operation or procedure, did a member of staff explain how the operation or procedure had gone in a way you could understand?
