PERFORMANCE: There were 128 breaches of rules banning mixed sex accommodation at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust in January.
A report to the board of NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly blames the number of non-clinically justified breaches on a high level of non-elective admissions.
All changes to the physical environment have been made to enable the trust to be compliant with the standards, and the trust has drawn up a plan to achieve full compliance.
The standard NHS contract will result in financial sanctions for all non-clinically justified breaches of sleeping accommodation from 1 April 2011.
