COMMERCIAL: Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust plans to make a submission to become a qualified provider of imaging services in Cornwall when the primary care trust opens them up under the any qualified provider policy.
NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly plan to open up adult hearing services, therapy services for the musculo-skeletal pathway of care and diagnostic imaging during 2012-13.
In her report to the Royal Cornwall’s board chief executive Lezli Bozwell said: “The AQP process will see a number of ‘windows’ open for providers to identify themselves as willing to provide the service and seek approval. The first window for imaging services will open on Monday 23 April and RCHT intends to make a submission.”
