WORKFORCE: A dental simulation suite has opened at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.
The unit opened on 24 June by the Mayor and Mayoress of Winchester, and features a set of artificial heads, each with a full set of teeth.
The custom-built suite also has audio visual aids and a decontamination sterilization area, and is based at the Royal Hampshire’s education centre.
A spokesman for the trust said the facility would provide dentists the best possible education, and enable them to learn new techniques without the fear of hurting their patients.
