PERFORMANCE: The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust has made an agreement with NHS England to return to hitting waiting times targets by September.

The London specialist had 6,100 patients on its waiting list in March according to the latest data released by NHS England. Eighty-six per cent of them had waited less than 18 weeks – missing the national target of 92 per cent.

A report to the board said: “We believe March performance would have met trajectory without the impact of the junior doctors’ strike.”

It has missed the 92 per cent target for the year.
