STRUCUTURE: NHS London was yesterday due to consider the fate of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust.

A timetable document seen by HSJ said NHS London’s Capital Investment Committee was due to “consider the options” for the north London trust on September 15.

The trust has sidelined originally mooted options including private franchise management and becoming a social enterprise. It has asked managers to look at merger options instead.

The Department of Health has pledged to sign off all non-FTs plans for becoming a foundation by the end of September.
