WORKFORCE: A former acute trust IT director has pleaded not guilty to a corruption charge.

Peter Lewis, who was associate director of informatics for the Royal Surrey County Hospital Foundation Trust until 2011, entered the plea at Guildford Crown Court on Wednesday.

He faces one charge under the Prevention of Corruption Act 1906. His trial is due to start on 28 November.

Mr Lewis was appointed at the £233m turnover district general hospital trust in December 2009.
