FINANCE: Royal United Hospital Bath Trust has had to refund commissioners £34,000.

The Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire primary care trust cluster successfully challenged the trust under the interventions not normally funded procedures in relation to 43 spells of activity.

A report to May’s board said the refund had helped offset a £556,000 overspend on elective day cases which are over performing by 758, equivalent to 9 per cent above plan.
