PERFORMANCE: Elective activity is more than 10 per cent over its planned level at Sandwell and West Birmingham Trust.
April board papers show that, while planned care is 10.6 per cent higher than expected, non elective care was 6.4 per cent lower.
For the first 11 months of 2011-12 GP referrals were 5 per cent down on the same period a year earlier.
Delayed transfers of care accounted for 4.2 per cent of bed days. The proportion of ambulances waiting more than 30 minutes was 40.1 per cent – an improvement on the previous month.
