PERFORMANCE: Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals Trust has been described as “performing” after meeting most key performance standards.

Service quality slipped on two areas in May: Delayed transfers of care rose to 4.4 per cent of total bed occupancy, from 3.6 per cent the month before; and the 18 weeks referral to treatment standard was not met in four specialities.

The trust’s overall NHS Performance Framework score was 2.86, above the 2.4 target threshold.
