STRUCTURE: Decisions on the dissolution of Scarborough and North East Yorkshire Health Care Trust will be taken in public, the chief executive has said.

The decision to merge with York Hospitals Foundation Trust has already been take, and it is expected to take place next year.

Scarborough chief executive Mike Proctor said in his chief executive report to a meeting in October: “In the private meeting of the board this month, members will have the opportunity to discuss detailed papers related to the acquisition of SNEYT by York Teaching Hospital FT and the timetable and process for the dissolution of SNEYT.

“No decision on these issues is required today and when a decision is required by Scarborough Board there is a commitment that this will take place in public.”
